Blankets are Urgently Needed!

A Brush with Kindness is a program for low income homeowners whose homes need painting, repair or cleanup work that they are unable to do themselves.  Services are free of charge to qualified homeowners.  For more information, homeowner applications or volunteering opportunities with A Brush with Kindness, call Jenny Isaacs at (310)254-6028 or Jack Baringer at (310) 254-6321.

THE FOLLOWING NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS ARE NEEDED AT LOCAL SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY FOOD PROGRAMS THAT ASSIST HUNGRY PEOPLE:

Cans of:

  • Tuna, Vegetables, and Soup

  • Fruits and Fruit Juices

  • Pork & Beans

  • Stews & Other Meats

Packaged Foods:

  • Pasta, Pinto, Lentils, and other Beans                                 

  • Macaroni & Cheese & Packaged Dinners

  • Instant Soups

  • Hot and Cold Cereals

  • Peanut Butter & other Nut Butters

-Baby foods are also urgently needed-

 (For baby food, glass jars are OK; otherwise no glass, please.)

 THESE FOODS WILL REACH; CHILDREN IN NEED, LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, UNEMPLOYED AND UNDEREMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS, THE ELDERLY, HOMELESS PEOPLE, AND OTHERS IN NEED THROUGHOUT THE WESTSIDE.

Baby Food Drives in Progress Again!

Sadly, two thousand babies and toddlers are without adequate nutrition each day right here on the Westside of Los Angeles.  We want to help them receive the nutrition they need to grow and develop into strong and healthy children.  We now have a special section at our warehouse devoted exclusively to infant and toddler nutrition so that our member agencies have easy access to the foods that are so vital to the health and well-being of the children in our community. 

Please don’t forget our young ones when considering a food donation.

ü     Infant formula

ü     Jar foods – all flavors and stages

ü     Crackers, teething biscuits, and cookies

ü     Raisins & fruit snacks

ü     Juices: jars, cans, pouches and boxes

ü     Infant and children’s cereals

(For baby foods, glass jars are OK; otherwise, no glass please.)
