About Food Insecurity

Our Community Partners

We’re ending hunger together.

Westside Food Bank works in tandem with 60+ partner agencies to distribute 4.7 million pounds of food each year. Agencies visit our warehouse to pick up weekly food allotments, and/or receive food delivered from our Extra Helpings Westside prepared and perishable food rescue program.

To help improve the overall food safety network and advocate for public policies that address the root causes of hunger, we work in partnership with:

  • Policymakers
  • Member Agencies
  • California Association of Food Banks
  • Local and State Food Assistance Agencies

To address the multiple factors affecting hunger and poverty in our service area, and to help resolve the problem of hunger on a large scale, we work in collaboration with a variety of regional and national civic organization partners and working groups:

Westside Coalition on Hunger, Housing, and Health

California Association of Food Banks (CAFB)

Hunger Action Los Angeles (HALA)

Nutrition Access LA

California Association of Nonprofits (CalNonprofits)

Santa Monica Office of Emergency Management (SMOAID)
